When you first arrive on campus you will need a cable ready TV (with a coax input) that has a QAM tuner*, and a coax cable to connect to the campus cable TV that is provided in your room or common area.

How to Connect

All students receive the same programming automatically. Simply connect your own coaxial cable to the connection in the room and auto program your TV to receive the channels. The University does not provide coaxial cables, but you can purchase one at Laptop Central's walk-in desk.

Once you have properly connected the cable you may need to auto program your TV to the correct signal setting. If you do not do this, you may not receive all or any of the channel signals. Each TV manufacturer has a different menu, so we are unable to explain the exact steps to follow. Please refer to the manufacturer guide for your TV on how to select the signal input.

There is only one coax drop per bedroom and we do not recommend using a splitter as it may degrade your signal.
