Windows

  1. Select the Network icon in the notification area.
  2. In the list of networks, choose the BryantUniversity network, and then select Connect.
  3. Type your Bryant Account username for the user name.
  4. Type your Bryant Account password for the security key (often called the password) and click OK.
  5. Ignore any server certificate warnings if shown and click Connect.
  6. A pop-up window will appear with terms and conditions, click Accept
  7. Select Start next to Phone/laptop/tablet and then sign in with your Bryant credentials
  8. Run the Fortinac download that appears and click Next to start the setup. Sign in with your Bryant Credentials when prompted. You will only need to sign into Fortinac once, any other time the login window appears you can ignore it and allow the setup to continue.
  9. The setup can take up to several minutes to complete. Once it has finished click on Finish once it appears to end the setup.
  10. You will now be connected to the Bryant network.

Chromebooks

Important! You must select PEAP as the authentication type and choose Do not use certifications before entering your credentials.

  1. At the bottom right, select the time.
  2. Select Not Connected.
    Note: If you see your Wi-Fi network name and a signal strength, your Chromebook is already connected to Wi-Fi.
  3. Turn on  Wi-Fi
  4. Your Chromebook will automatically look for available networks and show them to you in a list.
  5. Select BryantUniversity from the list of networks.
  6. If shown, select PEAP and Do not use certifications.
  7. Type your Bryant Account username for the user name.
  8. Type your Bryant Account password for the network password.
  9. Select Connect.

Android


  1. Open your device's Settings app.
  2. Tap Network & internet > Wi-Fi.
  3. Turn on Wi-Fi.
  4. Tap on the BryantUniversity network.
  5. Enter your Bryant credentials as the username (without @bryant.edu) and password then tap Join.
  6. Ensure that MAC address type is set to Phone MAC
  7. Click connect (it may say connected but no internet, if so, proceed to registration instructions)
  8. If your phone doesn’t automatically; make sure that you open a web browser and navigate to a test webpage. You may be prompted to register your device on the Bryant network

If you are prompted for registration

  1. Select Phone/laptop/tablet.
  2. Enter your Bryant credentials as the username (without @bryant.edu) and password then tap  Join .
  3. Click submit.
  4. You’ll see a progress bar, once that is completed you should be fully connected to the network. Please try another test webpage to ensure you are connected properly.

If you are having issues connecting, put the following options in your WiFi settings and try to connecting again:

  • For EAP method select PEAP
  • For Phase 2 authentication select MSCHAPV2
  • For CA Certificate select Do Not Validate
  • If you have a Domain option instead of CA Certificate enter  winauth.bryant.edu

Mac

  1. If you have an M1 Mac and have not downloaded Rosetta already, you will need to download Rosetta first before you follow the next steps. You may need to connect to another Wifi network or hotspot to do this. Additional information can be found here: If you need to install Rosetta on your Mac - Apple Support.
  2. Connect to the BryantUniversity wireless network.
  3. Open your web browser.
  4. Search for a website you typically do not use and hit enter to be directed to the registration site.
  5. On the below screen, select the first option Phone/laptop/tablet.
  6. Next, type your Bryant Account username (do not include @bryant.edu) and Bryant Account password.
  7. The FortiNAC Persistent Agent will now download. When the download finishes, click the download to launch the installer.
  8. Now click on the top installer icon.
  9. Install the agent and once the installation is finished, you will see a popup. When you do, enter your Bryant Account username (do not include @bryant.edu) and Bryant Account password.
  10. Once you have successfully signed into the agent, you’ll receive one more popup that verifies your registration and then you are all set.

iPad

  1. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi, and make sure Wi-Fi is turned on.
  2. Tap the i icon next to the BryantUniversity network.
  3. Click forget this network (if you were previously connected, if this option isn’t available proceed to next step)
  4. Tap the i icon next to the BryantUniversity network.
  5. Make sure that the Private Address option is turned off before joining the BryantUniversity network
  6. Tap Join this network
  7. Enter your Bryant Account credentials as the username (without @bryant.edu) and password then tap Join.
  8. Tap Trust on the Bryant certificate
  9. If you have never registered your device before, please follow the device registration steps below
  10. Open up a web browser and search for a website (NOTE: if you are using Safari, please switch to the mobile window by selecting the AA button on the search bar and selecting use mobile view. This will need to be be done on the registration page as well).
  11. Select Phone/laptop/tablet.
  12. Enter your Bryant Account credentials as the username (without @bryant.edu) and password then tap Join.
  13. Click submit.
  14. You’ll see a progress bar, once that is completed you should be fully connected to the network. Please try another test webpage to ensure you are connected properly.

iOS


  1. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi, and make sure Wi-Fi is turned on.
