Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Policy
Purpose
A Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policy refers to a set of rules that govern how employees can use their personal electronic devices, like laptops, smartphones, and tablets, in the workplace and for work purposes. This policy allows employees to use their own personal devices to work on business-related tasks, instead of Bryant University-issued equipment.
Scope
This policy applies to all employees, contractors, and vendors who use personal devices for Bryant work purposes.

Device Support and Security
Employees are responsible for the maintenance and security of their own devices.
Acceptable Use
Personal devices should be used in a manner that does not compromise the integrity, confidentiality, or availability of company data and networks. Refer to Bryant’s Acceptable Use Policy
Data Ownership
All data, files, communications, and other content created on personal devices for work purposes are considered property of Bryant University.
Lost or Stolen Devices
All data, files, communications, and other content created on personal devices for work purposes are considered property of Bryant University.
Policy Compliance
Failure to comply with this policy may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
