Remote Desktop Access (RDP)

The remote computer must be powered on to be accessible remotely, and the local machine must be either physically on the Bryant network or have an open VPN connection.

Be very careful when shutting down the computer you are working on.  If the remote computer is accidentally shut down then it will need to be physically turned back on before it is available for remote access again.

To prevent this, make sure to log out of remote desktop before powering down the local device.

In an effort to keep confidential data secure, while also understanding that employees and individuals conducting business on behalf of the university require work to be performed remotely, the university provides remote access to faculty and staff with appropriate approval.
