Your Bryant email account will be disabled approximately 6 months after your graduation date. Bryant alumni are able to create a Bryant Alumni email by following the steps in our YouTube video or contacting Laptop Central.

Student Laptop

Software

Laptop Central will provide reimage with data backup services for alumni whenever possible for software issues they encounter after graduation.  For those alumni who do not live close to campus, you are welcome to mail in your hard drive to us for this service.  Be sure to include a prepaid shipping label or return postage to a valid mailing address should you do so, however.  The cost for USPS Priority Mail is approximately $15.00.

Hardware

Your Bryant issued laptop comes with a three year warranty (less the battery, which has a one year warranty), and can be serviced by Laptop Central or directly through the manufacturer for hardware repairs.  As your laptop's warranty begins in July of your junior year, the typical Bryant graduate will be eligible for warranty service until the July following their senior year.

If you have a Lenovo laptop you may call them directly at 1-800-IBM-SERV for hardware service.  After a brief conversation with a technician who will attempt to categorize your problem, Lenovo will provide you with instructions on how to ship your laptop via the pre-paid package they will provide, and a timeframe on when to expect its return.

Laptop Theft

As of July 2009, Bryant-issued laptops no longer have anti-theft software preinstalled.
